Saddle Club
Saddle Club takes place on Saturday mornings from 9AM to 12PM year round, and weather permitting. On the weekends of CEC shows, Saddle Club will be held on Sunday afternoons from 1-4pm. Saddle Club is designed for the true horse lover. These 3 hour Saturday sessions cover riding and horsemanship, but also tack, barn, ring, and trail maintenance, to create a learning experience similar to horse ownership. Each Saturday morning your child will begin Saddle Club by completing what we refer to as "morning chores" which consist of feeding the horses, raking the aisle of the barn, cleaning stalls, organizing brush boxes, sweeping the tack and feed room, and cleaning tack. Once chores are complete, the horses are brought in and thoroughly groomed for the day. Next, the horses are tacked up in preparation for riding. Riding time is similar to a group lesson and lasts approximately an hour and a half. While still instructional, saddle club is meant to be geared more towards the fun of riding instead of being a structured lesson time. Riders often switch horses, getting to explore all different types of riding while having fun with their friends.
Saddle Club sessions are $40 per child. Three hours of fun for the same price as an hour lesson!
